COOKIES
Cookies are small text files that are collected by your browser from websites you visit which are then stored on your device. Cookies are widely used in order to enable website functionality and make sites work more efficiently as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
Each cookie is a unique tag which allows us to keep track of visitor numbers, see how our website is used and, in some instances, remember a user (which, for example, means the contents of a shopping basket won’t disappear when you move from one part of our online shop to another). Cookies also help advertisers provide you with relevant marketing materials.
OUR USE OF COOKIES
Our Website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our Website, recognise and count the total number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our site when are using it. This information helps us to improve our services generally and to provide visitors with a good experience when browsing our site. For example, by understanding which areas are of particular interest and ensuring that visitors are always able to find what they are looking for.
The cookies we use do not allow us to identify you personally.
You can find out more information about the individual cookies we use and the purpose of each of them at the bottom of this page.
If you do not wish to accept cookies you are able to decline them by altering the settings in your browser. All browsers are different but the ‘Help’ section of your browser should explain what you need to do. You can access your browser’s help section by pressing the ‘F1’ key while browsing.
If you do choose to block all cookies (including essential cookies) using your browser’s settings, you may not be able to access all or parts of our site.
To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org. To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all Websites, visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
INFORMATION WHICH YOU PROVIDE US TO STAY IN TOUCH WITH YOU – NEWSLETTER SIGN-UP FORM
The information we request for this sign-up form will only be used to send you a monthly newsletter.
The legal basis for processing this information is data subject (your) consent (as described in this Privacy Statement) and the data we collect falls under what is called in GDPR legislation the ‘legitimate interest’ of marketing communications.
If you contact us directly, for example to enquire about the Close the Gap grants, we may keep a record of that correspondence to demonstrate our compliance with the GDPR. For example, if you get in touch and ask us to update your details, we will make a note of your request and the date on which your data was updated. If you get in touch and request to be ‘forgotten’, (deleted), we will deactivate you as a contact, and make note of the date this was requested and completed.
WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access, such as using secure online programmes. These systems are MailChimp, Donorfy for data management, CAF Donate for donations, and WordPress as a content management system (CMS).
HOW WE WILL TREAT THE DATA WE HOLD ABOUT YOU
We will never lease or sell your personal information to third parties. We will never distribute personal information to third parties unless we have your consent or the law requires us to or in order to enforce or apply our terms and conditions (see below).
An example of an instance where we might seek your consent might be if you want to hear when the Close the Gap hedgerow app has been published, and our partners People’s Trust for Endangered Species will get in touch when it goes live.
Any personal information we hold about you is stored and processed under our data protection policy, in line with the GDPR (2018).
